Thule Hull-A-Port Kayak Carrier Reviews

Hull-A-Port

Reviewed By Bruce J (Mission, BC) Reviewed for a 2012 Dodge Ram —7/9/2012 11:16 AM

I have used several kayak carriers, but this one is te best. It keeps a nice low profile when not in use and came with everything i needed to secure my kayak down. The only issue I had was it required an adapter kit to secure it to my Thule 422XT rack which I was unaware until I received the product and tried to put it on my truck. Check the fit guide before completing your order, you may need the adapter kit as I did. To make it simple, if you rack is a 1" round bar or a 1" by 1" square bar it will fit without the kit. If its a large oval sape, it will require the adapter kit.

Thule Hullavator Pro Lift-Assist Kayak Rack Reviews

Works Awesome!

Assembly required, so plan the time. But once assembled the system works perfectly as advertised and makes removing and mounting the kayak a breeze! Illustrations show the boat installed upright. This will collect rain, so I recommend hull up. It carried well that way.

INNO Dual Kayak Rack Reviews

great value

Very happy with the rack and the quality. Only thing I might offer is I set up the support bar in the middle of the roof and tied each kayak directly to the bar. They don't have it set up this way, probably because it would require 2 extra straps, but the straps are long enough to tie it off at the top a quarter of the way down to the support, and wrap around both kayaks pulling them together. This seemed more secure for the 1500 miles I needed to travel with them. worked great.
