HitchMate TireStep Reviews

Works as intended

Reviewed By Timothy G (ARLINGTON, WA) Reviewed for a 2013 Ford F-150 —5/6/2014 8:47 PM

The TireStep does everything HitchMate says it will. It provides a solid step for tieing items to the roof rack, or working under the hood. It will also serve as a nice seat, if needed. It does fold fairly compact and fits into the case well. I bought this to make it more convenient for my wife, but she claims that it is too heavy to be easy for her - and really won't help to clean the windshield on her Durango. I'll toss it in the F150 and continue to use it when working under the hood, to put stuff on the roof rack or when washing the vehicles.

I Used it in the bed of my truck on a trip from Florida to Kentucky and back. There was some rain, but the bag worked as expected. Good purchase for the need.

Swagman Upright Roof Bike Rack Reviews

Economical and Easy to Use

Reviewed By stephen f (Pflugerville, TX) Reviewed for a 2010 Ford Escape —5/3/2011 1:16 PM

I purchased two of the Swagman Uprights for the roof of my Ford Escape. The price for both was about the same of any single one of the other brands. It arrived quickly and packaged safely from AutoAnything. The installation was easy only requiring a pair of wrenches. I had them both on in about 30 minutes. With the help of step latter I had the bicycles in place in no time either. The support and straps held held the bikes secure even in strong cross winds; and one with a flat tire on the return trip. I would recommend the Swagman Upright and not hesitate in purchasing it again.
