This thing is well worth the money. The biggest pain was mounting it. The awning is great for fishing, camping and tailgating.

installed it on my s5072v Surco rack. It looks great and adds a lot of strength. It took quite a while to install as there is a lot of hardware. Speaking of hardware it came with 1/2 of the special nuts and screws, so I called Surco. They seemed friendly are sending the hardware in the mail. It should be here any day.

The TireStep does everything HitchMate says it will. It provides a solid step for tieing items to the roof rack, or working under the hood. It will also serve as a nice seat, if needed. It does fold fairly compact and fits into the case well. I bought this to make it more convenient for my wife, but she claims that it is too heavy to be easy for her - and really won't help to clean the windshield on her Durango. I'll toss it in the F150 and continue to use it when working under the hood, to put stuff on the roof rack or when washing the vehicles.
