I have a 9'6" kayak and this works well for me.

Needed extra room for camping and fishing equipment. It looks great, slender, sleek, and does not have a bulky appearance. It was also very cost friendly. It does start to make some wind noise around 50mph but nothing unbearable. Installation was straight foward but tightning the brackets to the crossbar took some time. The bolts do stick up a little far but I'll probably cut them down. Over all very happy so far.

The Thule Transporter Cargo Box is fantastic for adding useable cargo space while not impacting fuel economy or adding wind noise. The tilt away option allows the tailgate to open even when the box is installed. The only negative I have to say about this item is that it sticks out close to four feet behind the vehicle which can be a little ungainly in tighter parking lots. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to add cargo capacity to their vehicle.
