RockyMounts TieRod Roof Bike Rack Reviews

Great design and easy to install, locks should be standard.

Reviewed By David P (SEMINOLE, FL) Reviewed for a 2012 GMC Terrain —5/18/2013 4:02 AM

I did a lot of research before purchasing this rockymount tierod I have. GMC Terrain with factory roof bars, most bike mounts wouldn't fit on the shape bars I have, this tierod was one of a ew that did. The only issue I had was that after installing it on my factory bars the tierod was to long and I couldn't open my tail gate. I installed my bike and just cut off about 4" of the tierod and reinstalled the end cap and now no issues. DON'T FORGET THE LOCKS! Can't leave your bike without them!

Great purchase! Looks sporty on my Lexus IS350. Fairly easy to install and very easy to use. Love the locking feature so I know my bikes are safe.

RockyMounts TomaHawk Roof Bike Rack Reviews

A quality affordable rack

Reviewed By Peter A (CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA) —4/11/2016 8:57 AM

I looked at all of the options and I wanted a rack that allowed me to keep the front wheel on AND not make contact with the bike frame. There are other options but the tomahawk is one of the best, especially for the price. And it accommodates fat bikes as well. If you need to switch your rack to different cars, or take it off often, I suggest that you consider RockyMounts BrassKnuckles, which costs a bit more and will not work with fat bikes unless you purchase a conversion kit.
