Moving our daughter home from college was a lot easier with this luggage case. We went through hard rain and not a thing got wet and the bag did not budge an inch, but I also purchased the non-slid pad for under it. We criss-crossed the straps to give it extra support. Our next trip will be to South Carolina for vacation... 800 miles one way. Hoping it works just as well then. And fill the bag completely or you will hear it flapping in the wind. Great idea!

Very glad to have the detailed online installation instructions with close up photos of strap configurations. It still took us awhile to get it right! We didn't find a good way to connect the bottom straps to the car and decided that it was secure enough without them. We've used a rooftop bag without roof rails where the straps come inside and across the ceiling. The rear saddlebag was better than that because there is no wind noise and more aerodynamic
