CURT Roof Mounted Cargo Rack Reviews

CURT (Extended) Roof Mounted Cargo Rack

Reviewed By Rex A (LAS VEGAS, NV) Reviewed for a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee —10/21/2015 3:37 PM

After researching the Reviews of others I selected the CURT Roof Mounted Cargo Rack and the Extension. Due to this Jeep having limited interior space to pack camping gear I knew I needed something such as this to go to areas I will be going. This rack was easy to put together by myself. I did get the help of a neighbor to set it on the roof. The U-Bolts are a little long (please remember this is somewhat Universal mounting) but I easily cut the excess material off with a Dremil Tool. HAPPY!!

Thule Hull-A-Port Kayak Carrier Reviews

Easy and quick transport

Reviewed By Tracie S (FORT WAYNE, IN) Reviewed for a 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee —5/14/2015 6:27 AM

I love my new carriers with only one complaint. the thumb nuts securing the carriers to the crossbar keep loosening from the vibration of the vehicle. Not much, but enough that you should check them after every trip to ensure they are tight. Other than that, I love the carriers. Look nice, easy to secure the Kayaks, everything you need is included with the kit, and it is easy to lift the kayaks into the J brackets. Love the freedom of being able to take my Kayak out at a moments notice.

INNO Dual Kayak Rack Reviews

Would recommend

After having it installed for about a week I would have to say that I would recommend this rack to anyone wanting to transport their kayaks. Installation was simple and it's easy to use. The only downside is having to add tie downs in the front and back if you plan on driving faster than 50 mph. I just added D-shackles to my kayaks to use as anchor points to attach paracord.
