Thule Square Bar Base Rack System Reviews

Great cross bar/base rack setup

Reviewed By Amanda G (Bremerton, WA) Reviewed for a 2008 Kia Sportage —3/18/2010 10:43 AM

I have been using the base rack now for a month and it works great. I have a hard top carry on and have had no issues. The only thing I wish was the bars where a little longer. I order the ones for my car (2008 Kia Sportage) they fit .it is just that Kia has placed the radio antenna right in the middle at the end of the roof. I was able to push the bars all the way over to the left and have just barely enough space to fasten the hard top carrier without it hitting the antenna. I would recommend checking the top of your car or noting if you have an antenna on the roof and then measuring and trying to order some slightly longer cross bars to makes things easier. The base rack is great and easy to install. The best part is that you do not need to drill so it leaves no marked on your rails when you take it off.

CURT Roof Mounted Cargo Rack Reviews

Well made, looks as described.

Reviewed By Andrew B (KANSAS CITY, MO) Reviewed for a 1989 BMW 5-Series —12/22/2014 7:48 AM

Mounted to an INNO base rack system that I purchased on AA as well. Very solid feel to the rack though I think the Ubolts could have had a better design, they are hard to hand tighten. Makes a good bit of wind noise at 70MPH+, but it's a roof basket it's expected. Used for hauling spare offroad tire/wheel.Also (not pictured) has an army shovel for looks. Helps keep the weight centered in the car which is helpful when sliding around on trails and dirt tracks. Looks pretty tough on an old e34
