Apparently the Porsche 911 at first was going to be named the 901, but Peugeot already had dibs on that model number as a name. Considering how litigious we are as a society, we're wondering how it's possible that Mazda didn't sue when the BMW 323 was introduced back in 1990. Mazda, after all, had been using the designation since 1977. Maybe they filed it under "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." Or—and more likely—Mazda lawyers were asleep at the wheel. In any case, this little car needs to be set up with one of the great Mazda 323 base rack systems available.
