Get the extra straps for cars without a roof rack!

Reviewed By Laura B (New Port Richey, FL) Reviewed for a 2008 Mercedes-Benz R-Class —2/13/2012 1:32 PM

Unfortunately we listened to the reviews that said how easy the installation was with the straps that come with it, BUT IT WASN'T. We packed our car Christmas night in preparation to leave first thing the next morning. We spent about 2 hours trying to rig the straps they provided and finally gave up and used our own rope. It was more than frustrating. The rope did work though and kept it in place and secure. We did buy the non-slip pad which protected our car. The bag itself held a TON of stuff and allowed us the much needed room inside our vehicle for passengers. I would highly recommend the bag, however, cannot stress enough to pay a little extra and get the straps for cars without roof racks!! It will save you time, headaches and a lot of aggravation!!

Works Great

Reviewed By Reid W (Henderson, NV) Reviewed for a 2016 Hyundai Tucson —5/21/2016 7:56 PM

When I first put it on the sleave rocked from side to side about a 1/8 of an inch. Which when towing with items on it was from side to side was about 4 inches. Talked to costumer service and was told to torque it down more to 75 lbs. Seems like your going to strip the threads but you won't. Works great now. You need to compress the frame to the sleeve for a proper fit. FYI.

Yakima JayLow Foldable Rack a must for transporting kayaks

Reviewed By Sandy H (Bluffton, SC) Reviewed for a 2012 Nissan Rogue —5/18/2016 4:52 AM

Great rack, well made, comes with parts to fit round, euro or square crossbars. Easy to install and folds down flat against the rails. Can be removed easily. Kayak straps were included as well. My only issue is wind noise when folded down but then you cant have everything. NO way around it. ++++
