Does the job

Reviewed By Jeremy M (Cedar Rapids, IA) Reviewed for a 2012 Nissan Versa —10/10/2012 11:04 AM

We have a 2012 Nissan Versa and planned on getting a car top carrier for family travel. I found the Sport 1 and decided to go with it because of its build and ability to be carried without a roof top carrier. We leave for our trip tomorrow, but I've tested it on a short drive and it works well. We bough the mat as as well which caused a lot of noise on the roof until we folded it in half. Any exposed edges of mat will catch the wind and slap the roof, but this took care of it.

First time owning a roof storage unit

Reviewed By Kiki M (HELENA, MT) Reviewed for a 2012 Nissan Frontier —9/6/2013 2:02 PM

This got great reviews from experienced roof storage owners so ee bought it. I gave 4 stars because the closing side bars are unwieldy. Prob not an issue if it didnt open on both sides. it also dropped our mileage over 2 galons per mile, this may be typical but I dont know. It has however been so useful for us as our nissan frontier is smaller inside now all our goodies can be locked in the storage unit leaving our cab roomier for kids and pets. Also leaves the bed open for toys.

trip one

Carrier worked well but took an hour to install and load. Also, I was sold hooks for $24.95 to make it work on my car but it came with hooks so I was misled and it cost me $25.
