Putting the rack together takes a little trial and error. The hardest part is putting the spacers on the bottom of the bar which keep the feet in the appropriate position. Don't force the foot as far as it can go, rather; only position the foot to where the spacer meets. When you tighten the connection, the spacer will fit into place. A couple of millimeters makes a big difference when putting the rack on your roof.
Also, buy a wind fairing at the same time. I didn't thinking I would be able to put up with the noise. Once the car got between 35-40 MPH it sounded like I was going to take off.
