Purchased to have additional storage to move our daughter to another state for college. Purchased the non-skid pad with this and it stayed in place the entire 1000+ miles for the trip. Wish we would have had sooner, could have put a lot more in it than we did!

I received this as a gift to provide additional storage for car trips for a family of eight. Installation was fairly easy using the provided cargo straps. We stored five large duffel bags in it and took a 6 hour car trip. My vehicle did not have crossbars on the roof rack so I only used two horizontal straps to secure it. We encountered strong head winds on our drive and it performed very well. With two straps secured tightly, it didn't even budge.

The 14er was my first choice when it came to a roof top basket, because of its size. I needed a basket shallow enough that it didn't have to be removed to enter my garage. I also wanted a basket that fit to my roof rails and crossbars well, and it was just the right size to manage my tools (Hi-Lift, axe, shovel and pick).
