Great Rack

Reviewed By Brian C (Meridian, ID) Reviewed for a 2007 Suzuki XL7 —6/30/2013 9:38 PM

This system works great at keeping everything snug and secure. Everything came on time and was shipped complete. The only thing I didn't like is the way they only provide straps to tie both Kayaks together when securing. I have two different size Kayaks and this method is terrible. If you are buying this great system order two extra straps and buckle pads. Then mount the post in the center of the vehicle and tie down one kayak on each side of the posts using 4 straps instead, Works fabulous!!!

Suburban Factory rack

Reviewed By Darrin M (vineland, NJ) Reviewed for a 2004 Chevy Suburban —10/13/2016 2:58 AM

Mounted to the factory crossbars on my 04 Z71 Suburban. I had to wedge a piece of rubber under one side because my crossbars are like wings (higher in the front and lower in the rear). In order for them to stand up straight. I wasn't that difficult. The racks work great, I bought two sets. Drove three hours at 65 to 70 MPH with no or little noise and no movement at all. Did not use the front and rear tie downs. Easy to install and Autoanythings price was great.

Impressed with quality

Reviewed By Ryan M (North Wales, PA) Reviewed for a 2016 Volkswagen GTI —10/8/2016 5:37 AM

I was impressed with the quality of my Yakima roof rack. The standoffs have thick rubber pads to protect the car and there is a good amount of adjustment in them as well. It feels incredibly solid and I'm not worried about it scratching my roof. At speeds between around 25 and 45 miles per hour I noticed a whistle.
