very sturdy when filled. Fits perfectly on our car rooftop. Strong material. Great in all weather. So easy to put on and remove. Only drawback is that it does rub a bit on the car so would be ideal in a frame not touching the roof. We recommend this product.

So Far, So Good

Just got back from the first trip using this carrier--300+ miles each way, much of it in heavy rain. This carrier is simple to install, holds a ton, and has held up well. And, everything inside remained completely dry. It's a great, inexpensive alternative to hard carriers. Highly recommended.

working with the bulk can be awkward

The pack takes a bit of trial and error when first trying to strap to the rack and hatch door. This is because the pack is huge and when empty can be a bit flimsy. I find it helps to have a workbench or a bumper high table to set the pack on to give it stability when mounting and also to have it half filled to figure out the correct tension. With that in mind, I plan to keep in mounted during my entire trip. Once firmly strapped in, it is a great tote.
