The safari roof rack is one of the racks I considered purchasing because it is light weight. It has a nice construction and easy to assemble.

I looked at every available cargo box on the market I think. I watched YouTube videos, read online reviews from professionals and users. I'm sure I over did it. I debated as to whether or not the Sonic box was worth the extra money to get its dual-side opening feature or slick surface. What I can say is that this box looks like a premium accessory, not a bargain basement "appliance" to put stuff in. I found I really did appreciate being able to access cargo from both sides as well.

We bought the Rightline Gear Cargo Saddlebag to carry our tent & camping gear for our big cross-country trip to the Grand Canyon. Our minivan fills up fast with goods to feed, clothe, & entertain 3 small children. Per others' recommendations, we put a covered sturdy piece of plywood on the bottom. The Saddlebag: - Gave us needed space to travel efficiently & effectively - Was fairly easy to assemble & install - Is no worse for wear after 1,300+ miles over mountains & through deserts
