Thule Hullavator Pro Lift-Assist Kayak Rack Reviews

Hullavator

Reviewed By Deepak A (PLAINSBORO, NJ) Reviewed for a 2014 Toyota Sequoia —4/13/2017 8:25 AM

install is little bit involved so keep few hours for that. Distance between cross bars is very important and it varies by person. You should be comfortable able to pull the clips on arms and move kayak up at the same time. If you have tandem kayak, it might get tricky to manage the distance between arms because you want to tie the kayak where you have hull (not seating). All in all i really like the kayak, they should have included the locks for the price they charge, i highly recommend it.

I didn't follow what little instructions came with the parts

It did not come with printed instructions = Only printed images on the box. That was Ok = It wasn't to hard to figure out = Beside I mounted it under my crossbars = not on top. I was not able to adjust my racks for a better fit being the 2016 Highlander racks are fixed = not adjustable = A big mistake Toyota made in their design, my mistake for not checking before purchasing the vehicle. I plan to make a youtube

As good as described

Reviewed By Thom S (CARROLLTON, VA) Reviewed for a 2007 Toyota Avalon —5/13/2016 5:15 AM

Mounted easily on the rails and secured the kayak well. Very Solid. The only confusing part is remembering how the straps are fed, but after a few more uses that should become automatic. Highly recommend.
