ARB Awning Customer Reviews

Since the beginning, there've always been misguided sun worshipers out catching rays, as well as sun stroke. But as time went on, it was the intelligent, shade seekers who rose to the top of the evolutionary heap. Now, you can cement your own position at the top of the food chain with the ARB Awning.
Mounting to your vehicle's roof rack, the ARB car shade is always there when you need to shun the sun. It deploys in less than a minute, and the telescoping legs let you dial in just the right height. Plus, the included pegs and guy ropes make sure things stay shady, even in windy conditions.
Crafted from durable PVC-lined polyester fabric, this UV-protected roof rack awning keeps the elements at bay. What's more, when you're done soaking up the shade, it rolls up and stows safely away in a heavy-duty bag. That way it's fresh and ready to block the sun at a moment's notice. To top it off, ARB backs it with a 2-year warranty.

I ordered the mid sized awning. Product seems pretty well built. Am putting it to its first use this weekend, so time will tell. Had a lot of problems with Auto Anything getting a replacement sent out when the first one I received was damaged in shipping. Spoke with ARB during the process, and they were excellent to work with.

I installed this on my 1992 20 Foot Ford Conversion Camper Van. Used the channels on the metal rail to hold bolt heads and mount directly to side of fiberglass van top. Very secure, easy to access, setup and store. Much more affordable than most camper awning options. Seems very durable.

Most of us already understand that ARB makes high quality products - which I agree with. This product eliminates the problems associated with trying to attach the tarp to the rack, stretching it out (but not too tight), fiding something to tie the ropes onto, making sure the water runs off, etc. This solution is much easier. The only caution I would offer to potential buyers is that you may have to use a bit of creativity to mount this assembly onto your rack. I used Yakima X towers.

Great awning for the price. I use it on a Vanagon Westfalia and their are a few awning products that will fit my van but for a lot more money. I will definitely use ARB products again and AutoAnything will be the first place I look. I researched a lot of websites for the best price and AutoAnything couldn't be beat. Awning was shipped really fast and arrived earlier than expected. It was a great buying experience.

Great awning--one leg failed to function properly and Auto Anything quickly contacted manufacturer/distributor and it was readily replaced with a new leg. All is great with awning and great customer service. Would recommend anyone buying from Auto Anything.

I ordered this awning and received it very quickly. It's quick and easy to set up and can withstand a decent amount of wind. The only issue I had was connecting it to the roof rack as it only comes with 6 bolts and nuts which is supposed to screw into a factory rack? I believe most vehicles will have to use an additional mounting bracket which can cost up to $60-$80.00. Once again, great product!
