I bought base rack system first and immediately realized the fairing is required, too much noise without it. Purchased the fairing later, very happy with both quality of construction and overall look. Installs very easily in 10-15 minutes. Totally worth the money, noise is pretty much gone.

Lets make it plain and simple, this wind fairing is the best way to go, looks great and really easy to install, it took me about 10 minutes to do it, I had a Yakima roof rack before and thrust me, this is way better, fits perfect on my factory roof racks on my 2013 WRX sedan, so if you are looking for one, to fit on the WRX models, get the medium size, looks sick. And get it from Autoanything, fast shipping and great sellers, you can't go wrong.

This did the trick! I installed an aftermarket roof rack with large round crossbars and over 45mph I got a decent amount of wind noise. Over 70mph it was almost head-ache inducing. After installing the Inno Wind Fairing, it's back to sounding like it did prior to my roof rack being on. The product feels durable, looks great, and fits well. Installation is easy and simple and for those concerned about the size of their crossbars, longer screws can be found and purchased at a local hardware store.

Marginal. The fairing doesn't actually rest properly across the top of the car and has a tendency to clatter against the roof at lower speeds. Went from wind noise to drumming ... not too thrilled. Additionally, the lock mechanism on the brackets don't actually lock the hinge so there is additional flex. Tried tightening with pliers, but the plastic 'nuts' are very soft and didn't hold up well. Busy trying to find adequate modifications .. starting with attaching a foam foot on the POC's

Works great, and was the only fairing that I found that would work with my off brand cross bars. Gas mileage has improved and it looks great. The only issue is the hardware (tightening screws) is rather cheap and comes apart easily. I had to replace them with some better quality pieces from my own collection.

Ever since I put on the inno wind fairing it reduced a lot of wind noise. Without the wind fairing the racks were very noisy and very annoying. I thought the product was a bit pricey but it does what a wind fairing is supposed to do.

Wouldn't it make sense if you put your car make and model in and it told you what size to purchase?

Hi, If we had the size measurements of every sunroof installed on every vehicle out there, we would. Unfortunately, it's something that usually isn't detailed unlike a trucks bed size or wheel base. The best way to go is to measure your sunroof and add 1" to the ends. Always go a bit bigger, otherwise you'll have a ton of wind noise.

I have a 1999 4Runner with a factory roof rack and I am looking for a wind fairing that will work with the roof rack I already have. The system I have works wonderfully with the exception of the irritating wind noise. So, my questino is, will this wind fairing work with my factory luggage rack?
Answered by Michael K. — Apr 18, 2012 6:07 PM
Hi Matt, this wind fairing is designed to fit square, round and most factory crossbars, so it should fit no problem. Just be sure to measure your rack and get the proper width.
