Rhino-Rack for 2013 Avalon

The only rack I could find that fits a 2013 Avalon. Very nice rack but: Set-up width measurement was wrong - I had to fit it myself. The little doors covering the feet lock, which is nice, but come off completely when the rack is removed and are at risk of being lost in storage unless you re-lock them. The Allen wrench required for attachment is a separate specialized tool - if you lose it, you're out of luck. This rack is really designed to be left on the car, which I don't plan to do.
Seems decent, but horrible assembly directions.

A step or two right at the beginning of the instructions might make you end up having to take a little time undoing. I always wonder why companies seem too cheap to hire several people to see how easy it is for "the man on the street" to follow the directions. Haven't hauled much, so nothing good or bad to say about the product. I expect it will be okay.
vague assembly instructions

Even though it was easy to put together, the instructions are very vague as to how to actually assembly them. Once on the car they are tight and solid. Total time from start to finish was about 30 minutes. I don't notice any sound. They come with white arrow indicators for quick removal and reattaching. I only use them to haul my kayak so I remove them each time. 5 minutes to reattach. Overall a good buy.
