    Description

With a full 15 cubic ft of rooftop storage, the Rightline Gear Sport 2 Car Top Carrier is a friend indeed for your storage needs. But what sets this Rightline rooftop cargo bag apart from the sea of other rooftop bags is its ability to mount to any roof—with or without roof racks! Now that's versatility.

To make easy work of mounting to your car, truck or SUV's roof, the Rightline sport 2 rooftop cargo carrier comes complete with four durable and adjustable nylon mounting straps. The bag itself is aero-shaped to cut drag, and it's made from PVC mesh-backed Hydrotuff fabric with a protective storm flap zipper system to keep your cargo high and dry.

Unzipping a full 3/4 of the way around the top, the Rightline car top carrier opens wide for easy loading and unloading. Plus, the zippers are urethane coated for smooth action and extra water defense. And, like all their products, Rightline Gear makes your Sport 2 roof bag with economy in mind, so it won't bag your budget. What's more, Rightline Gear backs your Sport 2 Car Top Carrier with a 1-year warranty.

The product does all that is described. The only thing I would add is to make sure to tie it down securely so it doesn't slide and pack it full otherwise it will flap in the wind. Works great so far!!

It was very difficult to pack it so it would look as shown. It needs to be very full and have exactly the right size luggage/contents in order to fill it. We tried to fill in the gaps with towels and some groceries. Tying it down, since it wasn't totally full, meant that it looked smashed where the straps were. However, it worked as promised, stayed on, and transported our stuff. It was a little noisy since we don't have a roof rack and had to put the hooks in the window sealer.

I haven't fully used it yet but it fits the car (Without a rack) well, seems secure, packs easily and is well built.

Took our first family road trip with 14 month old twin boys. The Sport 2 ended up working fine for the amount of stuff we had on this 3 day trip, but it would not have been big enough for a week long trip or if we were taking our dog with us. I wish we would have gotten the Sport 3 but Rightline assured me the 2 would be big enough. Disappointed in the size recommendation, but great product overall.

I debated between the Rightline and a "hard" carrier, glad I went with Rightline as there is way more room and it accommodated two large suitcases and one small one with no problem. Drove over 2,500 miles with a full day of rain - no leaks at all. Also purchased the car top mat for extra protection. If you do same make sure mat is at least 6 inches back from front of carrier or it will flap in the wind. Also check tie down straps before heading out as they tend to loosen a bit.

Only 4 stars simply because it has not yet been road tested. However, packaging and delivery were extremely efficient and prompt. The carrier is filled on living room floor. From this point, it meets all our standards - looks and feels very sturdy, well designed. in staging learned to avoid over-stuffing it so that the Velcro flaps close properly over the zipper. We are moving from east coast to west coast next week.

This roof luggage carrier not only saves trunk space for road trips, it protects your valuables with its weatherproof design. Once you arrive at our destination all you have to do is simply fold it up in its travel tote. No bulky containers left on your roof for the duration of your trip.
