Have not used it yet but looks like I will tie the front end to keep wind from gapping it open.

A stellar performer!

Had my doubts about the Thule XXL when I mounted it on my Honda Accord. However, after crossing the mountains this January and encountering 50-60 mph headwinds on some days and 50-60 mph cross-winds on other days, I'm a believer. We were travelling at 70 mph and the Thule never threatened to blow loose, didn't rattle and was surprisingly quiet regardless of which way the wind was blowing. I will add that it was mounted on the aerodynamically designed Rola GTX racks.

Great Storage... Latch Issues

Reviewed By Nick N (EDWARDS, IL) Reviewed for a 2010 Audi A4 —1/17/2016 10:12 PM

Crossbars went on relatively easy to roof rails and was box installation was simple. Ribbing on bottom of box keeps it rigid despite load. Decrease of fuel consumption of about 20%. When fully loaded the left side was difficult to lock. May have overloaded the 165 lbs and caused some deformation. Considering using a tie strap to cinch it closed next time since there are 3 locks and I can only squeeze two and turn the key. Right side works much better. Good that it's ambidextrous. Latch issues.
