I have had my rack on my 96 Jeep Cherokee for a while and absolutly love it. It was very easy to put together and the install is simple. I do recomend having a second pair of hands to get it up on the roof. I keep my toll box with my recovery gear and my spare tire up on it. I would highly recomend it to my friends.

First of all the rack looks good. Whether it is functional or not is to be determined. Secondly, the instructions on assembly are terrible. The installation to auto part is also terrible. I called you for assistance and was told immediately to call surco. It took them 7 hours to call me back. Poor customer service

Design and instructions could be better

The rack arrived when expected and was in perfect shape. The assembly instructions are poor at best, and the short strips for protecting the existing roof rails did not fit the cross rails correctly, unless I was trying to put them on wrong (instructions issue?), so I did not use them. I could not tighten the clamps enough to get the rack to really "grip" the existing roof rails to my liking without bending them. I had to use stacks of washers between the clamps and the bottom of the cross rails to keep them from bending. I've only had the rack on the vehicle for one week, but so far so good.
