The 682 Sidekick cargo box is great those needing to carry a small to midsize cargo load. I set this up on top of our Honda Pilot and found it to be a well made item, however the interior room was not as big as I expected. I was still able to load up two mid size suitcases, accessories and another small tote bag. I was able to lock the box after re-arranging the items a bit but if you're carrying luggage for more than 3 people, I might recommend stepping up to the next size. Overall, I'm happy!

Assembled easily, no missing parts, good directions. Have only used it for a few 200 mile road trips and haven't found anything to complain about. Ask me in a few months if it made it through a Wisconsin winter. Attached it to INNO cross bars with faring. Glad I got the faring, had the cargo box and faring off for a special application and noticed quite an annoying, low-pitched whistle. Spring for the faring, you won't regret it! Already lost one of the thumb nuts, need to use lock washers

Overall a good product! A little difficult to set up, definitely need another person to help, and the plastic on the lid does seem to be a bit flimsy. But it held up great on my trip from Southern California to Anchorage, AK. No problems with it so far!

The only mistake I made was not getting the aero blade racks from Thule. I bought the cheaper square ones and the are so noisy I have to take them on and off in between using them.

The Thule Sidekick is a great value. More detailed narrative instructions would have been helpful but once I got the Sidekick assembled, the unit was easy to install on the car and its performance was excellent.

This cargo box is nicely priced, and you get what you pay for. The plastic is a little bit on the thin side, but it holds up well. It is easy to put together. Although, I suggest you have a partner help, unless you are a contortionist. Installation on the car was a breeze. I then took it off one car (2007 Tucson) and easy installed it on another (Mazda CX-7). It was very easy and got the job done.

Sidekick...assembly fine & rack mount fine. First use took golf clubs out, carrier sat for 5+ hrs in 90+ degrees. Put clubs back in, and spent 20+ frustrating minutes rearranging trying to lock. Top material and latch-lock mechanism very flimsy. It was like the heat had made top & bottom out of shape. Was told to buy more expensive model, and guess that was right. Disappointed in quality of product, after thinking THULE was top-drawer.
