Sure, “the Force” comes in handy when you’re fighting Darth Vader’s Imperial storm troopers on the Death Star. But, it doesn’t help make elbow room in your vehicle while driving on a cross-country trek—or does it? Meet the Force Cargo Box, Thule’s latest chapter in their saga to stow your stuff up top and keep your budget intact.
The spacey Thule Force Roof Cargo Box features an Aeroskin lid that cuts through the wind for a quiet, fuel-efficient ride. What’s more, Thule’s Quick-Grip Mounting System installs to most factory or aftermarket racks quicker than you can draw a Lightsaber. And, the dual side opening box design lets you load and unload from both sides of your ride. Plus, the oversized SecureLock keeps valuables safe and is easy to use even with gloves.
Skipping the bells and whistles of Thule’s top-tier boxes, the Force delivers quality and security in a wallet-friendly package. It’s available in several sizes, so whether you’re packing a lot or a little, there’s one for every trip. Big Dodge Durango, still not enough room with 5 passengers, 2 dogs, and ski gear. Enter Thule lg cargo box and comfort in the cab. Enough room on top for 2 snowboards, 2 sets skis, all the boots, and 4 duffel bags! Dogs were much more comfy spread out in the rear section, not under the kids' feet. Everybody happy makes for a fun trip!

Purchased the Thule Force Cargo Box for a 2800 mile round trip between Chicago and Naples, FL. The box was easy to install and performed well. Very little impact to our MPG and it did not shift, rattle or make any noise (i.e.- whistling) while we drove upwards of 78 MPH. The duffle bag in the very front of the carrier became slightly wet as we went through torrential rain. Thule does not claim it to be weather proof only resistant which I knew. Worked very well- I recommend it.

This box was purchased for a snowboarding trip to Colorado that included 4 complete snowboards and boots inside of the cargo box, as well as a few incidentals. You could not even tell that this large box was on top of the vehicle... Zero wind/vibration noise! This made so much more room inside of the vehicle for 3 kids and 3 suitcases, etc. This was a great purchase and we are very happy!

Exactly as advertised. If you need a cargo roof box that fits a bunch of gear this is it. Snowboards, tent, sleeping gear etc.. Nicely made - quality hinges - lightweight (for it's size). It bolts right on and is secure on the highway.

will this fit my 2010 honda with factory rails?
Answered by Nathan S. — Mar 05, 2013 12:32 PM
Hi Shelly, The cargo box will fit just fine if your Honda has bars that also go across the width. If you don't have them, you'll also need a base rack system which we also offer.

How does this unit mount to the roof? Do I need to have the rails on the vehicle? Or do I simply remove the covers where the rails go and the box has a mounting system that can slide into that? Please advise
Answered by Nathan S. — Mar 04, 2013 11:38 AM
Hi, You will need to install a base rack system to use a roof box.
