Description

Hitting the road these days can be an expensive proposition. The cost of fuel and insurance alone is enough to make the most intrepid traveler stay home and watch the Discovery Channel instead. Add in the cost of a quality roof top cargo carrier, and you really get your pulse racing. Unless that carrier is the Thule Pulse Cargo Box, that is.

The pulse-quickening Thule Pulse Roof Top Cargo Box features an aerodynamic shape to cut wind drag without adversely effecting fuel economy. The Quick-Grip Mounting System installs to most factory or aftermarket racks in a jiff. Plus, the oversized SecureLock keeps valuables safe and is easy to use even with gloves.

Featuring a single side opening and skipping the other expensive bells & whistles of Thule’s top-tier boxes, the Pulse keep costs to a minimum. Available in sizes ranging from 11 to 16 cubic ft, it’s perfect for travelers with a little luggage and a small budget. Even better, Thule Pulse Cargo Boxes are crafted from advanced ABS, coated with a sleek matte-back finish and covered by a Lifetime Warranty.

Thule Pulse Cargo Box Customer Reviews

Awesome Cargo Box with only 1 drawback

I decided on the Thule Pulse 614 L Rooftop Cargo box after looking at many other brands/models. I liked the Yakima but none of theirs would fit on my 2011 Ford Escape w/factory roof racks/crossbars. The Pulse 614L has a nice aerodynamic shape and lower in height. The "Quick-Grip Mounting System" is awesome, quick and easy. The only drawback is that you have to have arms the length of a gorilla to reach the front drivers side knob to turn it and lock it in place. Awesome Box though!.

The shipping company was HORRIBLE!! Beside that I was very happy. It comes fully assembled and very light weight. At first it looked to big for my 2011 Toyota Rav 4, but once I got it on the vehicle it was the perfect size. Im only 5'9" and was able to lift it unto the truck all by myself. The clamps are perfectly design and fit like glove. It took me less than 10 minutes to figure it out and install by myself. I haven't used it for a road trip just yet but will soon. This was a GREAT BUY!

RainDriver

Are these units water proof? If I'm driving on the interstate at 70mph, will the contents stay dry?

Hi, Will they keep your stuff dry in the rain? Yes. Can they be completely submerged underwater and still keep your stuff dry? no. "Water resistant" is a safer term.

How long is this in XL

I am wondering the length of the XL box as I would like to be able to fit 4 snowboards that are 165cm long. Also does this connect to a aero or round or square crossbar?
