Hitting the road these days can be an expensive proposition. The cost of fuel and insurance alone is enough to make the most intrepid traveler stay home and watch the Discovery Channel instead. Add in the cost of a quality roof top cargo carrier, and you really get your pulse racing. Unless that carrier is the Thule Pulse Cargo Box, that is.
The pulse-quickening Thule Pulse Roof Top Cargo Box features an aerodynamic shape to cut wind drag without adversely effecting fuel economy. The Quick-Grip Mounting System installs to most factory or aftermarket racks in a jiff. Plus, the oversized SecureLock keeps valuables safe and is easy to use even with gloves.
Featuring a single side opening and skipping the other expensive bells & whistles of Thule's top-tier boxes, the Pulse keep costs to a minimum. Available in sizes ranging from 11 to 16 cubic ft, it's perfect for travelers with a little luggage and a small budget. Even better, Thule Pulse Cargo Boxes are crafted from advanced ABS, coated with a sleek matte-back finish and covered by a Lifetime Warranty.

We bought the large which fit out Pilot well and most of our bags. No road noise. Looks nice. Hinges are a bit flimsy and the lock can be tricky. Seems a little over priced for the material quality & construction. Lightweight & easy to attach.

The box fit my daughter's Fiesta very nicely, just as the Thule "fitter" said it would. The clamping mechanism is easy to tighten snugly on the rack. The clamps slide back and forth easy enough, but I wish they didn't pop out so easy when off the car...not a deal breaker by any stretch. The top seems flex a bit when closing the box but, again, not a deal breaker. Overall, it's a nice addition to a space challenged Fiesta.

I haven't road tested it yet, but will in December for a trip from MA to FL. I did test fit it on our Rav4 with factory roof rack and cross bars and it fits great and seems solid. The set up was super easy with the exception of the front left clamp, although that may be due to my height (5'9"). I also had to adjust the cross bars to line up with the slots for the clamps, but that was really easy to do. The box is pretty light and can be handled by one person.

Our GMC Terrian requires that we fold down one of the rear seats to carry my golf clubs, which is not the best so I can now carry them in our roof top cargo carrier.

Mounted on a Subaru Outback Wagon, this box can accomodate all our necessary baby gear and a set of golf clubs pretty easily. I debated getting the XL size but with the 100 lb weight limit of the factory racks, I get plenty of gear in the large size and still get to that limit. Installation and fit on the Outback was a breeze. Only opens from one side which may be a factor for some but it's a very minor inconvenience. Great box!

Excactly what I was looking for. Cargo box is sturdier then expected. AutoAnything.com honored their price match and sales rep was very cooperative. I will definetely be purchasing through them in the future.
