My 2017 Ram 1500 only had 1,000 miles on it so the stock muffler came off with ease and the flowmaster bolted right up as advertised. Took me 35 minutes total and I didn't even have to jack up the truck, just crawled under it. Sounds like it supposed to now. When the MDS kicks in there is a little drone and knock but you have that with the stock muffler too, now it's just a little louder. It's not so bad that I would consider Removing the flowmaster, it just sounds too good.

The instructions that you can print off the web site are a lot better than the one that comes with the box, so print them off. If you have a lift or pit to work off of you will be better off. I used a creeper with the truck setting at ride height with no problems. You could do it in a couple hours setting in your driveway. My only problem was, the long pipe is about an inch to long, the kit has a head pipe to mate up the long pipe to the muffler. But the long pipe touches the muffler.
