57 Series FIPK Air Intake

Reviewed By MARK R (SAN GABRIEL, CA) Reviewed for a 2001 Ford Ranger —4/19/2015 5:06 PM

Air cleaner arrived next day after being ordered. In stalled it the next day. Everything fit well though I was a little dubious about the heat shield not being secured to the body. Job took about 40 minutes to finish, fired it up and it worked like a champ. There is little or no extra noise if driving normally but there is a good bark to it when the revs are aloud to run out to 3500-4000. Noticeable improvement in midrange torque and throttle response. Should have done many years ago.

Good Intake, more MPG

Reviewed By William G (Ft. Belvoir, VA) —4/19/2015 11:39 AM

Wow! I got about 4-5 mpg increase from about 16.5 mpg highway to about 20. Overt 250 miles I averaged about 17.9 with half in highway miles. City driving seems to give me about 14.9 mpg. The truck is louder under load (accelerating), but sounds about the same as before the install when revving the engine with the car stationary and when at cruising speed. No dyno test but the truck seems to have more piower now. Install was straightforward. Recommend this product!

2015 Tundra 5.7

Reviewed By Blake D (GREER, SC) Reviewed for a 2015 Toyota Tundra —4/19/2015 10:43 AM

pros: truck sounds better Throttle response is a lot better Truck is faster Cons: One bracket didn't match the factory mount The directions are confusing(had to YouTube) The truck has a whistle around 2000 rpm Overall despite the cons I would 100 % recommend purchasing this!
