K & N filters were a cheaper alternative to bmw air filters. The price was right and the quality was excellent

The Pro Dry S filter for my BMW 325 is the only way to fly. Getting into the air box although not hard, is still time consuming. So an oil type filter is out of the picture. The quality of the aFe filter is very good. It fits perfectly. Advertised performance gains seem missing. The cost is high in comparison to the oil type aFe or K&N filters. I give this filter a 3 1/2 star rating because of the high cost.

I recently purchased an FIPK for my 2005 BMW 325i from AutoAnything and I also got one of these filter covers. You can call it a pre-filter for sure because it does add an extra layer of protection. The material is excellent and this is a must have item if you have one of these filters in your car. The only thing is it is a bit pricey at almost $30, now if it was $10-$15 I think it would be a lot more reasonable. Personally I wouldn't think about having a cold air exhaust without one of these!!
