Superchips Flashpaq Tuner Reviews

As expected

My 2004 Expedition 5.4 (2v) loves gas, I love power. My Flashpaq done just as I expected, I recommend that after you toy around with various tunes that you revert to Stock with option 16 on 1-2,2-3,3-4 valve body pressures and highest RPM shifts 1-2,2-3,3-4. From what I discovered, the performance tune will in fact decrease gas mileage while the economy tunes 87 will in fact increase gas mileage. I love the firm shift and higher RPM shifts that my tranny now experiences. LOVE IT.

K&N 77 Series Metal Intake Kit Reviews

Please Please stop the squealing.

Reviewed By Cliff S (Albany, OR) Reviewed for a 2004 Ford Expedition —8/10/2013 6:43 PM

I just bought this 2004 5.4L Expedition which had a 59 series K & N system on it, at anything above 900 rpm's it would start this loud squealing and not go away unless you were letting off the foot feed, the car dealer said they could not find anything wrong, I called K&N they were not sure as to why it was doing the squealing, maybe I need to put on a resonator box over the filter so I made one, didn't help. I think the plastic tube was the problem so I bought the 77 series and problem went away

2004 Ford Expedition with 5.4L

Reviewed By Michael L (Glendale, AZ) Reviewed for a 2004 Ford Expedition —11/28/2011 1:37 PM

The only problem with the kit is that the hose clamp for the support bracket is almost too small and very hard to get on. Also the CARB sticker does not stick very well. It has greatly improved the power output and hill pulling. I am not working the engine as hard as before on uphill drives. Much better than the Airaid kit I orginally ordered that did not match anything on my Expedition and would not mount properly. Looks like K&N has the kit figured out correctly for my year Airaid does not.
