Easy to Install but had to add some aluminum tape

Reviewed By Gordon M (BELLEVILLE, IL) Reviewed for a 2005 GMC Sierra —12/22/2014 7:42 PM

Installed in about 30 minutes and as the instructions directed. Only catch was the silicone sleeve that attached the piping to the throttle body. The sleeve was a bit to big on the throttle body. I used several wraps of aluminum duct tape on the throttle body until the sleeve was snug and the tighten the clamp with on other issues. Sounds great and fuel mileage has shown an increase of 1 MPG.

sounds great - easy install

Reviewed By Flint D (Round Rock, TX) Reviewed for a 2002 Chevy Avalanche —12/22/2014 3:09 PM

Very nice addition to my old Avalanche. Sound is great and seems to add power with more take off - wish I would have measured 0-60 before and after and see if could tell a difference. Install straight forward - took about an hour - hardest part for me was getting O2 sensor loose and then the rubber part around the cold air intake had messed up clip that I thought had to repair - turns out there is extra anyway so ended up cutting it off. Easy DIY job and looks great and sounds excellent!

Nice fit, cheap clamps

Reviewed By Mark A (SOMERSET, MA) Reviewed for a 2005 Toyota Tacoma —12/22/2014 7:59 AM

I like the air intake as a whole. The clamps they give you to hold it all together are very cheap worm gear type clamps. The directions recommend checking regularly for tightness. So, if they loosen up and you're driving through road construction with lots of dust you can ruin your motor. Seems to me a few more dollars on better clamps to possibly save an engine would be well worth it.
