K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (50-State Legal) Reviews

As advertised!!

Reviewed By Richard B (Soquel, CA) Reviewed for a 2000 Toyota Tacoma —2/25/2014 7:22 AM

Just added my 3.4v6 Tacoma in a little over an hour, taking my time. Went smoothly; occasionally had to really consult the diagram to assure I was using correct washers, etc. It all fit and looks great! Fired it up and was very pleased. It doesn't add a lot of cabin noise at idle or under general load, but when you put your foot into it, it does let you know your engine is "breathing"!! Don't know about any increase in mpg, but extra "guts" between 3000 and 4500 rpm was worth it!

K&N vs Monument Valley

Reviewed By Paul F (Marietta, GA) Reviewed for a 2000 Toyota Tacoma —11/12/2013 5:29 AM

Got stuck in a dust storm in Monument Valley. Zero visibility, but of course kept on driving for the fun of it. When I got back to Sedona, I checked the filter and was amazed to find not a speck of dust got by the filter. I can't imagine worse conditions for an filter to contend with.

aFe Magnum Force Cold Air Intakes Reviews

Average item with good results.

Reviewed By Kevin H (AURORA, CO) Reviewed for a 2000 Toyota Tacoma —7/9/2012 8:46 PM

The aFe intake is no better than my previous K&N, except for the dry filter. Even though I'll loose a little performance, I'm tired of the over or under oiling of the K&N filter, so it's a wash. But, on the other hand, the K&N is a good filter, so that means the aFe is good too.
