Great Product for VW MKV Rabbit 2.5L

Reviewed By Ludwig G (HOUSTON, TX) Reviewed for a 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit —7/14/2013 6:48 PM

This is a great mod for any car at a fair price. Noticed performance different right away. The snarl at 3000+ RPM is pretty sweet without heavy engine modifications. Installation was fairly simple for someone with average mechanical experience. I got polished chrome but should have gone with black. I don't plan on showing off my car at any car meets. Overall this product is a 5 out of 5 stars. I'm very happy with the product.

Intake

I changed my intake to this Volant & paired it up with a flowmaster exhaust Pros: Looks great, you feel the difference in torque, drives smoother, Waiting to see if my gas mileage gets better Cons: Sleeve doesn't fit well on throttle body. You have to reeeaaalllly work it. the clamps they send you do not fit. I had to use the stock ones I had. they don't supply you with clamps for the small hose Overall review is positive, I just wish they supplied you with all the correct parts

Installed on a stock 14 R/T. Love the look! Gained about 2 mpg's on the highway. No gain in the city. Can really feel the power gains at about 3500 rpms and up. Can barely hear it with the windows up, slight whistle with the windows down. (sounds good though). Enhances the stock exhaust when you open it up IMO. Installation took about an hour and a half, would be less but you have to trim the plastic engine cover to clear the intake tube(its out of sight, not an eye sore). Extremely satisfied!!
