BMW X5 Canine back seat cover review
Posted on 10/27/2006 by Marica G. (Sausalito,CA)

"I love the quality, the fit is good. The padding is excellent, gives enough protection from my two 100+lbs dogs. Very easy to put the cover on and take it off with the velcro tabs for the head rest area's. There are a few problems, although they are small;
1)The cover rolls up, it needs to be secured to a place below the seat. I noticed there is soft velcro already there, is there an additional piece that velcro's on to protect the floor?
2)The two flaps on the side are a good idea, although too short, It is difficult to catch then in the door without catching the fingers while holding them in place. The lower one is easier than the upper one, perhaps the heavy dogs pull the cover away.
Otherwise a great cover, and protects the leather well from scratch and dirty dogs!
Thanks,
Marica."

"The back seat cover for our Lexus 400h is great. The material is durable & looks good. It's comfortable & doesn't slip around & the mechanics attaching the cover are well thought out & take into consideration the pull down armrest & seat belt lock clips. Our Airedale lovers to ride in the car & this is a big help. We are very satisfied."

Quality craftsmanship & perfect fit

"We were really concerned about the taking our 90lb lab in the back seat of our 2006 Infiniti M-45. I searched the all over the Internet for a rear seat cover that would both protect the leather and look great. These seat covers seemed to fit the bill. They arrived in about 10 days from ordering and I was immediately impressed with the quality of the material and craftsmanship. The real test was the fit – and I wasn’t disappointed. Although they are a little pricey I would highly recommend them to anyone the looking for a canine seat cover that not only looks great but also works as advertised. They don’t slip (with a 90lb dog that’s not easy) and she loves to lay down and get comfortable for longer rides. These covers are worth every penny!"

"I purchased a canine cover custom cover for my BMW 330 back seat. It has leather seats, and I really want to protect them from my young, squirmy doberman. The cover is sturdy and covers a substantial portion of the sides of the car as well as the seats. The openings to clip her into a back seat belt are easy to use."

"I am so pleased with the rear canine cover; it's padded and thick and won't allow sharp dognails to penetrate. I do wish the rear armrest had it's own zipper, but it's by far the best on the market."

"Sadie (Brittany) and Maggie (Aussie) so love to ride in the car with my wife and I. Because we’re cheap and drive old, old vehicles, we never gave a thought to the effect of the dirt, paw prints and hair on the car. Until last month, that is. We got a new car with beautiful leather upholstery. So we set out to find covers. We were shocked with the price (Remember? we’re cheap). But in an impulsive moment, the order was placed and the cover was received a week later. The installation was easy and quick. I’m very impressed with the perfect fit and several design details that secure the cover from shifting or drooping. The cover is attractive and functional. It costs a lot, but you do get what you pay for. I love it."

"I recently order & received
custom canine covers for my Acura. They are really excellent!! I have an Akita
@130lbs, and in the past I had probelms with covers moving out of position, especially on leather seats. Not these, they surpassed my expectations.
I recommend them to all Dog lovers who luv to drive."

Canine covers are exquisite

"I was very impressed with the Canine Cover. Everything is double stitched. The design was carefully thought out and well executed down to the velcro closures and the quilted seat area with the nonslip lining. It is not a cover that I would want to have to take off and on, but it stays put once it is on and is extremely durable. I love the Canine Covers. My only regret is that I should have chosen the darker colour so that it would go better with my Avalanche interior."

"Impeccable fit...with the exception of the lack of a system that would secure the cover at the lower seat base (which would have made these perfect) this is far better than I expected. If my 80 lb standard poodle with serious car excitment issues hasn't already destroyed them in the two weeks they've been installed they'll never be affected by him. Highly recommended!!"

"Love these covers. They fit and look tailored. Plus, the seats and/or console are useable independently as the cover accomodates all with openings. They don't slip because they have a clever gripping fabric on the backing, so the dog does not slip of the seat with a sliding seat cover. Installation is mostly intuitive, but a diagram or directions would have been handy."

"These are well made covers with high quality material and good fit. My only complaint is that the seat back connections are a little tight....if you insert the plastic hold tabs in the edge of the seat you cannot fasten the headrest velcro firmly without pulling the tabs out. Otherwise they are excellent."

"Typhoo is an 60lb Afghan Hound and has had trouble with the back seat of my CLK Convertible; smooth leather, uneven surface etc. This cover fits well and is thick enough to give him plenty of traction. The colour is slightly darker than my silver leather but looks good. The only problem I see is the head rest loops don't really "fit" around the roll bar style head rests."

"High quality materials, sized perfectly for my car. Two shortfalls of the product: 1. does not have a slot for the armreats inthe back seat (this is probalemtaic as it is also the ski sack in my car - so I have to remove the cover everytime we use the ski sack). 2. Back of cover does not stay up on th headrests. I have to tape them down"
