Over the last 6 years, we have purchased several seat covers for our vehicles. None of them really looked that great and only did a fair job of protecting the seats from hair. Having recently purchased a new SUV with a bench seat for our Black Lab, Cajun, we decided to give Canine Custom Covers a try. Even though the cover was a bit expensive, we have found that it fits great, stays in place, seems to protect the leather seat from hair and mostly importantly - it looks great. If you are picky about your vehicles and their appearance, you should consider Canine Custom Covers.

We ordered the custom cover for our 2011 Toyota Highlander and generally, I'm happy with the product. The seat material is non-slip which provides a good stable spot for our dog. Likewise, it has a nice layer of padding as well as a non-slip backing to ensure the cover doesn't slide against the seats. The only complaints I have thus far are two: 1) The seat bottom is not really custom cut to fit the Highlander seat configuration. The center rear seat is set back a few inches from the two main left & right rear seats. This causes the seat cover to overhang the center without any support. Our dog has not yet stepped on this "trapdoor" but I know it's only a matter of time before she falls. I would have like to have seen as much customization of the seat bottom as the seatback to ensure an accurate fit. 2) The straps that go around the headrests do not allow for the headrests to be fully put down flush with the seatback top. A minor issue. I know the biggest issue for most folks with this product is price. My two cents: given that each one must be cut and assembled to fit its particular and specific car, I understand the pricing. Plus when we figured it was 0.7% of the car's price, we felt like it made sense for protection.

When I purchased a 2008 BMW 328i, I purchased a rear seat cover for my dog. I was so pleased, I returned to get one for my new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Excellent fit, heavy duty for my 50 lb. schnauzer, Kaiser.

The time it took to get the cover was troublesome, but functionally it's fine. The price is a little high, I think, especially taking into account the fit around the bottom of the seat.

I had originally purchased a semi-custom rear seat cover from Canine Covers for my Volvo XC-90. When I attempted to install it, it was obvious it was not going to fit properly. I returned the semi-custom rear set cover to Canine Covers. I then ordered the custom rear seat cover from AutoAnything (it was a little less expensive that ordering from Canine Covers). Although, it takes a while (approx 3-4 weeks) and was about $100 more than the semi-custom version, it was well worth it. The seat cover fits perfectly. It secures around the back of the seat with three sets of velcro straps (straps go around the headrests and around the back of the seat). There are foam fobs which fit into the seat crevice. We have a 70 lb. Airedale and the seat cover stays in place when she gets in or out.

The cover is high qualit and well made however I was a bit disappointed there is no method to tie hte cover to the eat cushion. Velcro on the corners like a fitted sheet would be ideal.

The cover could have been a touch longer and wider. Under the seat there is a bar that you could attach a strap to keep it down. I attached a small bungee cord to a velcro strip to keep the cover down. The quality overall is pretty good.

The cover is attractive and functional. The material has good grip for the dogs and does not hold dog hair. We are very pleased.

First time install wasn't as quick as I had hoped but I suspect the learn curve from the first time will make subsequent installs easier. Its definitely more complicated if you need the seatbelts and the clips to be accessible. The cover also doesnt appear to hug the bottom seat corner quite like the picture illustrates but that said, overall is did the job of protecting the seat and keeping all of the dog hair on the cover worked very well. They jury is still out on if I could have purchased one of the less expensive covers and gotten similar results.
