"Window seal so tight on 2008 Honda Odyssey that plastic inserts would not go between glass and seal; hence, not usable in vehicle. Works fine with three other types of vehicles I have."

"I have 2 dogs that love to look out an open window. But their nails are always sliding on the car door interior. This product not only protects the car door, but also seems to stop their nails from sliding, thus keeping them from falling and my doors from being scratched. Great product! I love that you can move it form car to car! Would recommend this product ot everyone."

"Canine covers are great for when my dog sees a cat through the window and scratches at the window/door panel to get to it. Also catches any drool or water after shaking when wet!"

"These shields were pretty easy to install. There are small plastic tabs that slide between window and door. One tab could not be inserted by the small window b/c that window does not roll down. Other than that, the shields did their job and definitely gave me a sense of comfort taking my dog on a roadtrip in the brand new car. :)"

"We are using the shields in our Honda Odyssey on the back seat windows. The tabs will not stay in place, therefore the shield falls. There is not a window but a glass so that may make a difference. It is a great idea and we use them, our dogs just pulls them down."

"We used these on a long-distance trip with our two 120-pound dogs. We put up the back seat in the truck and they loved to stand and look out the windows. They are a little tricky to get into the slot, but once you get the angle down, it becomes easier. They do protect very well and clean up easily."

"The door covers install nicely, and cover the majority of the door. However, if you have the window down and you are travelling on the freeway, they will blow off the door. Therefore, you have to take them off and put them back. Too much work for my money."

"I like the overall quality and look of the covers. The width is especially good. The only feature which I am not happy with is the length of the plastic tabs which anchor the cover. The tabs are inserted between the car window and the door housing. They are not long enough resulting in the cover coming off if the dog pulls at the cover too much or if the window is rolled all the way down and they back up."

"I take my husky with me a lot. He gets really excited when we get to the park or other places he likes to go. He gets so excited that he scratches at the door until I let him out. I was afraid that he would rip the upholstery in my car. The Canine Covers Pet Door Shields have eliminated this worry. They arrived very quickly and were extremely easy to install."

"I was surprised and pleased at how the door covers secure to the car doors. They also provide enough support for my dog that she can stabilize herself on the door and put her head out of the window. These covers are simple to put in and take out and big enough to cover most of the door."

Decent covers, but may need tweaking to stay in place

"These are well made covers, however, the plastic inserts don't keep them in place. When opening the window (important for the dogs' sakes), they tend to slip out quickly. The first time I used them, one of them popped out while I was driving, and of course one of the dogs decided to then stand on the door arm, which caused the vinyl and the cushioning beneath the vinyl to buckle. I had an upholstery pro attempt to fix it, without much luck. So, consider first applying something like velcro to keep them in place. As for "ease of installation" U'm rating them fair as I'll have to modify them to stay in place."

"I was disappointed at the quality of the covers for the price. Tabs were made of cardboard and if you have a convertible, they have a tendency to fly off with the wind. The material is not quite what I had expected but was easy to use. For the price not a good value!"
