"My wife was concerned about our four boxer dogs scratching up her new Excursion door arms which are wood and leather. I saw these on your web site the next day and bought them. They fit very well and stay in place when our dogs stand on the door arms. The have worked as stated. A side note is that when traveling on the freeway you need to roll up the windows about half-way or the covers may blow out the window. Good product and would recommend them to anyone wanting to protect the door arms of their car."

Great product, only needs some small improvements

"We have two boxers who love to rest their heads on the top of our doors while looking out the window. Needless to say we have a drool problem! These shields are really helping, we wish we had found them much sooner. However, I agree with other reviewers in that they do come loose easily. It probably would not hurt for the plastic pieces that go down into the window to be longer. I have had one fly out the window while I was driving down the road. Overall though, these are a great solution."

Tethered to door handle

"I read another review that mentioned the shields may fly out the window if you have both your front and back windows down. So I poked a hole through the forward edge, tethered it to the door handle with a string, and tested. They will come off of the windows with all the windows down, and even with the back windows up a bit and the fronts down. Thanks to the tethers, they stay in the truck. Other than that, they look and work great."

Fine Product But Not Perfect

"The shields do an excellent job of covering the door panel. The only problem is that the four tabs that hold the shields into the area between the window and the door frame don't extend all the way down. So sometimes they fall out and have to be re-inserted. But that's not a big problem."

"The covers are excellent in keeping the scratches off the door vinyl. The only problem is that the plastic inserts tend to come keep coming out from between the window and door and I have to keep putting it back in. Maybe it could be just a bit longer so that it stays inside the door panel better."

"The descripton does not tell you how they install or how they work, I had to wait until they arrived. The plastic pieces that fit in between your window and door needs to be alittle longer so when your dog stands on tem, it won't pull them out of the window."

"Great quality and value for the money. Easy to install. A must have if you have a dog that jumps up on the car door to look through the window or one that rests it's head on the door. My two dogs do both these things. Will be purchasing a second set of shields for our other car. Thanks"

"These door shields are extremely easy to install and don't really interefere with anything (Except my dog's drool on my door panels). They look good and match my seat covers perfectly. My dog is a giant 150 lb Leonberger and takes up the whole rear area in my Ford Super Crew cab. All I have to do is clean the windows and run a vacuum over the the truck and never worry if my dog is wet or muddy again."

"We're happy with the covers though they don't stay in place very well. The insert tabs should be longer. They are still a good purchase since there is no other way to really protect the doors from paw scratches."

"Having repaired my doors many times from dog scratches and constant drool I eagerly awaited the arrival of these "door shields". They work but granted contruction appears to be fair-good for the price I paid. They cannot be pawed-off like other door shields but if your door is rather larger the covers might be too short."

"I have just tried my new door shiels with my 3 dogs in the car and they are just what I was looking for. They are perfect for those small to medium dogs that like to look outside or stick there head out the window. Now they can do that and I don't have to worry that their nails will scratch the interior of the door. Thank You."

"The covers were not what I expected. I thought they would be thicker material. I suppose they do protect the leather from scratches, but was hopping that it would be a thicker harder material that might keep the dog from hitting the door controls."

Won't stay in place

"I have a 2006 silverado crew-cab. When I have the rear door windows part way down and then roll down the front windows the door shields will detach and blow out the rear door windows. I have had to stop and retrieve one on three different occassions."
