Back seat pet protection

Reviewed By Bonnie B (Glendale, AZ) Reviewed for a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis —2/9/2012 7:13 AM

I recently ordered a full back seat cover to protect my new car's leather seat. The pad came as expected and I put it into the car. The quality of the cover is excellent and I found that the size was perfect. It was easy to install. It still slid on the seat when my large dog got in. Perhaps a non-slide backing would be very helpful. One thing I did note was that the pre-existing hole in the middle of the cover, for the seatbelts to come through, did not work with my seat belts at all. My suggestion would be to have a longer hole to accommodate different positions of the buckles in different cars. I would have to cut the hole as it is now to accommodate my seat belts. I hate to do that, but it appears like there would be no other way. One thing I have found with ANY of the seat covers is that all of them are made for back seats with headrests. Well my car doesn't have headrests so I'm always searching for another way to attach the nylon tabs to the back seat. It's a real problem. I'm sure I'm not the only person to have a car with no headrests in the back.

Installation a problem::

Reviewed By PETER S (Toledo, OH) Reviewed for a 2010 Mercury Mariner —7/6/2010 8:52 AM

Got the new front seat set in record time. Well packed and prep instructions fine. However the installation needed some clues (recomendations) on where to push, how tight a fit it would be etc. Needed more specific clues as to best assemble over seats. Instructions should be aimed at the DIY who has never done this before. ALSO - why is not a cover for the arm/storage in between the seats not included. We made one from an old towel which worked very well as the material as the arm rest was very dirty after only 7 months of use. Simple slip on which did not even have holes for the latches but on a matching seat cover material would have a couple of holes as seat cover material is heavy enough to interfere with the latching. I think I would have liked the covers in a lighter grey but this is fine. Is there an;y plans to make these in two-tone? At this price at least.
