My concern--when reading reviews for various seat covers---was whether a cover could 1) withstand the punishment inflicted by a 75-pound dog, and 2) stay attached to my car's seat cushion. The Kurgo cover has succeeded on both counts, based on two trips to Lake Tahoe. My Golden Retriever's nails and slobber have left no trace on my leather seats. And her hair doesn't cling to the cover as readily as it does to old blankets. As for the cover staying in place, the attached bungee cord helps (even though I can't run it under my sedan's seats), as does the strap that runs behind the seatback and the two straps that run around the headrests. All four straps are adjustable. I think the rubberized texture on the underside of the cover also helps prevent the cover from sliding around the leather seat. My only caution is for those with larger vehicles: the cover fits my Saab's rear seat perfectly but doesn't quite cover the seat in my larger SUV. The cover is nicely shaped for a bench seat, just like in the picture. Finally, the twill fabric is strong (similar in texture to a cordura nylon backpack), the fabric piping is a nice touch, but I don't see the point of the three little built-in pockets. Also, the flaps that allow access to seat belt buckles don't line up with my car's buckles. However, the velcro keeps them firmly closed. These are minor quibbles over an otherwise excellent product.
