time will tell...

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"It looks good, but I am questioning the durability of this thing. After lots of hard work, I am noticing that the stitches are comming apart. If the stitching on the wheel skin holds up, then I would rate this a five star item...if it does not I would give it one star. Time will tell..."

A pain to install but well worth it!

Posted on 05/22/2006 by Robert M. - 2006 Volkswagen New Beetle (Minneapolis,MN)

"This gets 4 stars only because it was a royal pain to install. It took me 3 hours and I am pretty experienced with the needle and thread. That said, the finished product is awesome. Fit and feel are excellent. For the price, it's an outstanding value so long as you don't mind the time it takes to install."

took a while to install... but looks great

Posted on 05/16/2006 by Ned H. - 2003 Ford Explorer (Ft. Myers,FL)

"The factory leather cover was showing wear and I needed to do something. I read the reviews and decided to give this a try. It took longer, like most of the reviews said, but it does look much better than I had expected. I am a very satisfied customer."

Luxury without the bucks.

Posted on 05/01/2006 by Galin L. - 2005 Nissan Murano (San Francisco,CA)

"Very good product once it is installed. Installation, while time consuming (about 1.5 hours) is worth it. Also, I was very impressed with the customer service. If you weren't fortunate enough to have have a car with a leather wrapped steering wheel as stock, then this is the next best thing."

Smooth!

Posted on 04/28/2006 by Mike S. - 2001 Volkswagen Jetta (Auburn,WA)

"I love it! It took me two hours, but I missed a few holes, and had to restart, and I ate lunch. Once I restarted, it was fine. Wear a glove, to help feed the needle, and pull it tight. Looks and feels great, thanks for the speedy delivery, too"

Very nice!

Posted on 04/18/2006 by Allan M. (Missoula,MT)

"It took me almost two hours to sew on, but it's a very nice product with a great feel to it. I can now grip the slippery steering wheel much better and it just looks so classy."

Good-bye Vinyl

Posted on 04/18/2006 by Sam C. - 1994 Ford Explorer (Portland,OR)

"My Explorer has a vinyl wrapped leather steering wheel -- a really thin vinyl steering wheel at that. I used to drive a Range Rover & the thing I liked most was the thick REAL-LEATHER steering wheel. My wheelskin did not turn my Explorer into a Range Rover. However, it has a little of that feel now. Installation is easy, but a little time consuming... still worth the effort."

Red Handed!!

Posted on 04/17/2006 by Charles F. - 2001 Audi TT (Groveland,MA)

"I really love the red & black steering wheel cover. The red is just about the same shade as the exterior paint in my TT. Installation took about 40", not as long as I had anticipated. I am glad that I do not have to make a living as a seamstress."

SORE FINGERS!!!

Posted on 04/10/2006 by Carl Douglas S. - 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse (Cloverdale,CA)

"STITCHING ON THIS COVER WAS WAY TOO MUCH A CHORE!!! DIFFICULT TO SEW. ITS A SHAME, BECAUSE THE ACTUAL COVER IS VERY NICE. I GAVE UP ON TRYING TO INSTALL IT. ABOUT 50 BUCKS OF FRUSTRATION!!!"

Worth the effort

Posted on 04/09/2006 by Robert R. (St. Marys,GA)

Good Buy

Posted on 04/09/2006 by Ronald T. (Somerset,NJ)

"Great product. It took me about an hour to finish the stitching, because the thread is so long. But it's worth it. My steering wheel feels much better. It made it a little "fat" which is what i wanted. I went for the two-tone color and it looks great. Blended nicely with my interior. Instant upgrade in my opinion. i would definitely recommend this product..."

Pimp My Ride

Posted on 04/04/2006 by Leonard D. L. - 1994 Acura Integra (Orangeburg,SC)

"My recent purchase of the Wheelskin Leather Steering Wheel Cover completed my transformation of My Acura Intergra. The Wheelskin Leather Steering Wheel cover was very easy to install and it added a nice look as well. The only thing I didn't like was it took longer than I anticipated because you have to make sure that stitch is right!!! Still I gave it 5 Stars. Thanks AutoAnything for helping me pimp my ride."

Great value

Posted on 03/30/2006 by Bruce W. - 1997 BMW Z3 (Escondido,CA)
