Posted on 08/08/2006 by Michael W. - 2001 Mercedes-Benz C240 (Cedar Hill,MO)

"i love my new wheel skin. i have ordered a wheel skin from a nother company before and i believe that this one is made much better. The leather is much thicker than the last one and it cost just as much. You can tell the quality is very good. I have only had mine for about a week and a half and it just feels like that it is like a tank. I don't think it will get sun dammaged."

"The steering wheel on our 99 Buick Regal was pretty worn and the Wheelskin cover makes it look like new again, takes some patience to install but well worth the time.As usual I'm really satisfied with my AutoAnything purchase."

Sand wheelskin

Posted on 08/01/2006 by Paul B. - 2000 Ford Explorer (East Palo Alto,CA)

"I'm fairly satisfied with the wheelskin. The color is a little off, but close enough. The fit is good, and could have been better if I laced around the spokes a little differently. Not worth unwrapping it and doing it all over again. I would recommend it."

Worth the time

Posted on 07/22/2006 by Craig M. - 1991 Honda Civic (Canton,OH)

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.

"These steering wheel covers take about 1 to 1 1/2 hours to install and are well worth it. This is the 6th one I've installed on different cars and I have found that taking the steering wheel off the car and installing the cover at home is a lot easier than trying to install the cover with the steering wheel on the car. Make sure you keep it conditioned and it will last the life of the car."

Leather steering wheel cover response

Posted on 07/04/2006 by Marian M. (Ottawa,ON)

"I'm quite pleased with the leather cover--now that it's on. As one would expect, pulling the thread tight enough was difficult for my arthritic hands. It was absolutely necessary to continue because I'm allergic to the vynal (sp?) coverings especially when they are hot. Thankyou--maybe for my next car you'll think of an easier way to mount it."

Wheelskin Review

Posted on 06/22/2006 by Justin P. - 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280 (Altadena,CA)

"The cover was first rate and fit the steering wheel well. The stiching takes some time...but like anything worth doing...the results were spectacular. Nothing like the feel of butter leather when driving...better grip...warmer...and protects the wheel from rings and dings. Also they shipped very fast. Very pleased with the product and the service."

Wheelskin in old Ranger

Posted on 05/30/2006 by Gordon D. - 1992 Ford Ranger (Santa Rosa,CA)

"The original "deluxe" steering wheel in my '92 Ranger was leaking its cushioning material, and replacements were no longer available. I sealed the seams with silicon, taped everything securely with black electrical tape, and put on a grey Wheelskin. Installation took less than 1 hour, and it has been great. The lighter color gets less hot in the Texas sun, and the extra thickness is perfect for my truck. I love it, and just bought another one for my wife's car."

time will tell...

Posted on 05/25/2006 by Michael W. - 1997 Jeep Wagoneer (Atlanta,GA)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"It looks good, but I am questioning the durability of this thing. After lots of hard work, I am noticing that the stitches are comming apart. If the stitching on the wheel skin holds up, then I would rate this a five star item...if it does not I would give it one star. Time will tell..."

A pain to install but well worth it!

Posted on 05/22/2006 by Robert M. - 2006 Volkswagen New Beetle (Minneapolis,MN)

"This gets 4 stars only because it was a royal pain to install. It took me 3 hours and I am pretty experienced with the needle and thread. That said, the finished product is awesome. Fit and feel are excellent. For the price, it's an outstanding value so long as you don't mind the time it takes to install."
