"An excellent product! Took me an hour to do it. Started at the original seam, then just followed the directions. They're right when they say "Tight is Right." I used a leather glove to save the fingers. Pull the 'thread' tight and use care going from front to back so you don't tangle or miss a hole. Looks great! Very pleased, my wife loves the look and feel, it's her car!!"

"This was my first time wrapping a steering wheel with leather of any kind. I recommend that you re-read the directions to start with to omit having to undo or start over. Since it was my first time, the first 1/4th of the wheel starting from bottom of steering wheel, was not as tight as the rest, and by the time I got the hang of it and improved in the consistent tightenting, I was at the 1/2 way mark. I didn't hestitate to undo it to the beginning to make it all the same. Pay attention to the tightenting to make the leather either almost touch when tightening, or even to completely touch, if possible. I did the dummy stiches across the four spoke sections, and be sure to begin again with regular stitching with under/over so that all four spokes match before and after, and also that the holes match up.
I came out perfectly at the end with the correct matchup of holes, and tied off/tucked away. The leather quality can handle the almost over tightening so don't be afraid to really give it a tuck making sure each tightened stitch is the same to get a professional look. What a difference it made to my interior look, and I saved so much by doing it myself instead of letting the dealer charged me and arm/leg when I bought the car brand new. It took me over an hour to do this, and I was so engrossed in the stitch by stitch detailing, that I didn't get tired or frustrated. I am proud of my first wheelskins leather installation."

"Excellent quality leather.color consistant throughout.Patience is a must.Once I got the hang of it I developed a rhythm. One thing I recommend is to punch through all the holes with the needle provided with the kit before you start. This will help the install go faster. Also try some tape on the tip of the finger you use to push the needle through.
Good Luck,
Joe S."

"I recently purchased this cover for my 2008 Mustang GT. This was the first time I have ever installed a leather cover requiring a stitch on a steering wheel. It was one of the easiest installs I have ever attempted. The cover comes pre-fit to your car and once you have it positioned, it easily stitches up. It looks and feels great! I highly recommend it."

"If you had done this before, you couldn't do it in an hour.
With my application, I had two huge gaps to negotiate. I did this with leather lacing, rather than the provided waxed thread. Therefore, the waxed thread needs to be started at these breaks. Anyone with average judgement will be able to figure out how to stitch it up without the incumbrance of bad instructions. Don't let this review stop you from buying a great product."

"I could tell when I opened the package that this was a quality product. The written instructions and diagrams were clear and easy to follow. I took my time so I wouldn't make a mistake. It took me about 2 1/4 hours to finish (longer than I expected), but the finished job was worth it. I love the way it looks and feels. I would recommend this product to anyone."

"The earlier reviews I read regarding the Leather Steering cover have all been justified, in my view.
It is a quality product, fine in form and fit, and easily installed with the helpful and accurate instructions. This required about 1 1/4 hours to complete. It's classy looking and very functional. A good buy!"
