Used this to cover the worn leather Nardi wheel that came on my '01 Miata. Installation was a little tedious but worth the effort to do right. Finished product looks great. Not quite OEM but much better than the faded and scratched original.

The stock steering wheel on my new F-150 XL feels cheap and seems to take forever to warm up on cold winter mornings. The Wheelskins cover solved both those problems. I was a little leery about spending so much for a steering wheel cover, but I am now glad I did. It is worth every penny. As others have suggested on here, I also recommend wearing gloves for the lace-up or your hands will get sore from pulling it tight. Took me about an hour to install.

The estimate of 60 min to install is a little off, it is more like 3 hr. Looks great and fits the wheel perfectly except where it goes around the spokes. I followed the instructions, however I wasn't exactly pleased with how it came out, but it serves the purpose for which I purchased it for.

I was under the impression the cover was custom made for a RAV4, but it appears to be one of a number of sizes that "fits all". The seam at the bottom caused the cover to bunch up in that specific area because the RAV4 steering wheel has 3 spokes. Overall, I like the feel provided by the cover. I would still recommend it though. Perhaps my lacing technique was substandard causing some of the bunched up areas.

The Wheelskins look great. They are high quality and fit well. The only thing I would say is be prepared to take a long time to attach them to the wheel. Attaching them is very labor intensive. I do not sew, I thought I could string them on the wheel in about 1/2 an hour, it took be about 3 hours to complete. But I am very happy with the finished product.

Product matches interior leather on my 150 Lariat nicely. I had it installed @ a custom auto upholstery shop because I felt the install would be pretty difficult for me.In this case it pays to know how & what is required.Plan ahead!

2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee overland. The steering wheel has wood grain at the top. This makes the circumference measurement 4.5" for the top and 4.25" for the rest of the wheel. The standard cover for the Jeep is 15.25" x 4.25". Is it possible to order cover that is 15.25x4.5"

Hello. Unfortunately, we do not manufacture special order steering wheel covers. Hope that clears things up.

Do you have a Wheelskins Leather Steering Wheel Cover for an RX350 Lexus 2012 (black or dark grey leather)? Thanks.
Answered by Michael K. — Jun 08, 2012 2:17 PM
Hello. Thank you for your inquiry about a wheelskins steering wheel cover for your RX350. The 2012 and 2011 models use the same steering wheel. It is possible to order this item as 2011 and get the correct item. This will hold true to most items for the 2012 but not all, as there were some engine changes and a new appearance package. There are a few choices for color and style of steering wheel cover. They are:
Single color, Two Tone, and With Perforations Single Color or Two Tone.

The picture shown for Tan looks more like a regular brown. I have a standard tan colored interior and am worried the Tan will be too brown. Can anyone who has ordered Tan let me know if it's actually tan? Thanks

The pictures look like the finish of the cover is slick or shiny does it have the look of leather? And is it real leather? Your Reviews are stellar. Thanks Bob

Hi Bob, yes, they are handcrafted from genuine leather, and the finish gives them a slight sheen, but they certainly look like leather.

Are the instructions available to download?
Answered by Rob F. — Oct 27, 2010 1:43 PM
Hey Joe, We don't currently have an instruction sheet for downloading. Maybe somebody from the community can comment on their experience with the install. Most of what I've read in the Customer Reviews says it's pretty straightforward and a lot like sewing with a needle. Thanks, Rob
