As others have mentioned, it takes some time and patience to sew it on, but the result is worth it. The leather is not slippery at all, but has a slightly tacky feel, so it really improves grip. The wheel is easier to handle and more comfortable, and has a classy look. The thread is coated with wax and can tangle easily, be careful to avoid knots as you pull it. Wheelskins covers may be expensive, but they'll last.
