Great Product, great price

The string is tacky, so the first dozen or so holes are tougher than the rest. Line up the string with one hand, as you draw through with the other so you minimize friction and slight tearing of the lace holes. Draw the string very tight after lacing the first couple of holes, as it really looks best when pulled tight. Clamping your thumb or finger on the lace as you re-insert through the next hole keeps the tension. I love the look, the feel and quality. Plan on putting a good quality leather conditioner on it to soak overnight the first night, as the leather is pretty dry. These will become standard on my vehicles as they age, and even new vehicles without leather grips.

Wheelskins for my FJ Cruiser

Reviewed By Dave S (Annandale, VA) Reviewed for a 2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser —11/21/2014 6:42 AM

The leather is high quality and the cover is well-made. The only thing lacking is a set of better directions. Most importantly, you should pull the waxed thread very tightly with each loop of the threading. Beware of bunching at the end of the threading process as loose material will gather at the end. It's the kind of thing that you'll be much better at the second time around, so don't be timid about starting over half way through if you don't think it looks right.

Sporty feel, thick and smooth to the touch. Installed in 10 min.

Reviewed By Thomas B (Los Alamos, NM) Reviewed for a 1988 Toyota Pickup —11/11/2014 7:49 AM

This was just what I was looking for. It gives you something substantial to grip onto, instead of the skinny plastic stock steering wheel. It feels very sporty and gives great control of the steering wheel. It looks really good too.
