Wheel Skin Leather Steering Wheel Cover

Reviewed By Peter L (Hackettstown, NJ) Reviewed for a 1998 Jeep Cherokee —10/21/2005 6:43 AM

When I received my Wheel Skin steering wheel cover from AutoAnything.com (a mere two days after ordering it) I was amazed at how heavily made it was. Don't be afraid to pull the stitches tight as the instructions tell you, as this is the key to a good installation. The thread will NOT tear through the reinforced holes. The instructions were easy to follow and I got a nearly perfect installation. The Wheel Skin leather cover makes my worn steering wheel look like brand new - in fact better than new because it is of much better quality than the factory installed "Leather" wrapped steering wheel. Also, since the steering wheel is now a little bit "fatter" it is more comfortable to grip, therefore less fatiguing for my hands. The only caveat is that pulling the waxed thread tight many times gave me a raw spot on the side of one of my fingers. So you might want to wear a work glove on the hand that will be doing the stitch tightening. It's a great product! Thanks Wheel Skin and AutoAnything.com.

Gripping

This item is of good quality material, is functional, fits great and looks great. Installation was a breeze and when in use gives a tactile and relaxing feeling as well as relief any anxiety over safety or slippage. Very satisfied and would recommend to anyone needing an inexpensive upgrade to a deteriorating steering wheel cover.

Like a new steering wheel

I could not be happier with my purchase. I used this to cover an old leather steering wheel that had become sticky and started to fall apart. One tenth the price of a new steering wheel, but avhieved nine tenths of the result.
