Description

Ferocious launches and hard cornering can twist your vehicle’s chassis like a pretzel, resulting in lost traction and squirrelly handling. The Edelbrock Strut Tower Brace eliminates front-end flex to give your ride precision steering input and rail-like cornering power. The strut tower brace is a must for racers and enthusiasts who push their vehicles to the limit.

The brace triangulates your vehicle’s strut towers with the firewall to create a super-solid substructure. This reduces body roll and virtually eliminates flex all together—making the difference between skidding into the wall and strutting your way to the winner’s circle.

Constructed of heavy-duty steel tubing, the strut tower’s 3-point design creates maximum rigidity without adding excess weight. The black powder-coated finish and Edelbrock logo add to the custom, under-the-hood looks. And, your Edelbrock Strut Tower Brace is backed by a 1-year warranty.

Notes

  • Some vehicles may require trimming of hood understructure

"This brace was one of the best money for performance mods that I have done to my car. I definitly would tac weld the nuts to the brace plate under the wipers. That way you wont have to take the wipers off every time you wanna take it off. Other than that its a great product for a great price!"

"This brace made a huge difference on my 2006 Roush Mustang!! (which was already a great handling car). It was a little tricky to locate properly and install due to the plate that mounts between the firewall and the pinch weld below the windshield in the wiper trough. I tack welded nuts to the plate behind the firewall so if I ever needed to remove the brace for engine work I wouldn't have to go back under the wiper cowl(seemed like a good idea). Maybe Edelbrock can improve that on the next design. It looks great!! It fits great!! I highly recommend this product!! Just be prepared to tinker with it a little to get the best fit. Brian K."

"I have previously used this strut tower brace on my other Camaros and went right back to it again. Like it better than BMR and others. Hooks up with three points instead of two. Excellent value! Somewhat difficult when bolting it to the firewall and the mount on the drivers side take a little bit of work around the brake master cylinder but it will fit after a little bit of work."

"One of the best overall structural designs, not the easiest to install. Edelbrock instructions are incomplete. Be careful to note that the inner brace won't clear the wipers if it is not nearly horizontal so drill the firewall holes in the right place the first time. And the Edlebrock main tower bolts are 1/4" too short and not stainless steel."

"Installed with little difficulty and improved the feeling of the steering and front suspension. The most difficult task is removing the wiper arms!"

A great addition

Posted on 05/02/2007 by Benjamin S. - 2002 Chevy Camaro (Monterey,CA)

"I've experienced a substantial improvement in cornering. This thing is a great addition to my '02 Z28. The only real problem is that I'll need to remove the intake manifold (for this car) to bolt in the third point of contact. The windshield frame is in the way so I can't dill the additional holes. (other applications will differ) Despite this, the bar still fits. I am very satisfied with the brace, how it looks and performs. If you're thinking about it, just do it."
