At the base of each Rancho RS9000X Shock is an easy-turn dial. Start at position 1 for smooth highway cruising. With the ability to adjust the resistance, I must say these shocks, yes a bit pricey, are quite wonderful. gives my 2000 F150 a nice stiff ride. Ease to put on, 4 out of 5, stupid dust coves get in the way during the install.

I just completed lifting my 2004 LJ and used a well-known competitor's monotube shocks. After about a month I wasn't happy with the competitor's shocks ON, or OFF ROAD! My brother-in-law recommended the Rancho RS9000XL's as he replaced his old OME shocks on his TJ with them and was extremely pleased with their ride. No mistake about it! The RANCHO RS9000XL's out performed the monotubes. Nice having the adjustability for towing too!!!!

I had a friend install my front shocks for me and while installing my RS9000xl, he had to gring about 1/16th of an inch to fit it through the bottom hole where the bottom of the shocks is mounted. Other than that it's an exellent shocks.

Iv'e used Rancho products for years, RS9000XL's are as good as it gets for this price range. Adjustability is very conveniant, especially if you add the remote kit, expensive though. I would recommend these to anyone with a 2 or 4 wheel drive vehicle.

Wow what a difference! still have to hook up the compressor unit, but really amazed at the quality of ride. However, that being said Rancho could do a better job of paint on the shox themselves, found some thin spots, picky i know, but hard earned money should be spent on well built quality.
