Description

Standing tall as the shock of choice for trucks and SUVs since 1985, Rancho RS5000 Shocks pack plenty of riding comfort for the highway or the trail at a budget-friendly price. Plus, they're ideal for either stock or lifted vehicles.

RS5000 Shocks are the ones that started it all for Rancho. They're around today thanks to quality parts and construction. Double-welded mounts. A high-capacity twin-tube design. Hardened, double-chromed 5/8" rods. A glass-filled Teflon piston seal. Internal rebound bumpers. Topped by red urethane protective boots. And, a durable exterior finish that withstood a 240-hour salt spray in testing.

The smooth ride quality of Rancho RS5000 Shocks is buoyed by their ten-stage, velocity-sensitive valving that reacts to the terrain with precise dampening. Comfort is also preserved by hardened rubber bushings that help pad impacts. Best yet, your Rancho RS5000 Shocks carry a Lifetime Warranty.

"I purchased my 2006 F-150 4x2 Supercrew Lariat new and at 48,000 miles I was beginning to notice that my ride and handling just wasn't right; so I purhased a set of Rancho RS5000 shocks and let me tell you that my truck handles and rides much better even from the day that I drove it off the dealers lot. Thank you AutoAnything for your outstanding service and thank you Rancho for your Great product."

"After 71K miles it is hard to remember the feel of the OE shocks, but with new Rancho RS5000 shocks on all four corners the ride is fantastic. Cornering is better, and there is less sway in cross winds on highway. I'll be testing them on some off-road conditions this weekend and I know that I won't be disappointed."

"I really notice a difference in the ride. That might be because the old shocks were shot to begin with but I'm still incredibly satisfied with the end result. Was somewhat difficult to install but that is due to the design of the Tundra."

"Installed these on a 2000 Z71 Silverado - instant ride improvement. Good quality, nice looks. Install was a bit challenging in front - plus I wasn't sure how the dust boot was to be installed on the front shocks, but I figured it out. Good shocks for the money, I'm happy. Hope they last a long time."

"I put the shocks on 2005 f-150 and they are better than the OEM for sure. They seem too make a little more noise after you hit a big bump. But it could be because of my over sized tires. Over all I like them very much."

My truck rides a lot better with the RS5000's

Posted on 01/03/2008 by Larry B. - 2004 Ford F150 (Brunswick,ME)

6 of 6 people found the following review helpful.

"My son and I installed Rancho RS5000 shocks and struts on my 2004 F-150 FX4 Off Road truck. They went on easily and the improvement in ride quality is great. You will need a strong spring compressor for the struts as the springs on this truck are heavy duty. The rear shocks are on the outside of the frame and very easy to work on. AutoAnything sent them in a timely manner and their service was top-notch."
