"Had started to experience a wobble in the front end especially after hitting bumps. This was not present when the Jeep was new and my first thought was tire balance or cupping. The balance was OK but the tires were starting to cup. Rotated them and still had the problem. Installed the Rancho steering stabilizer and solved my problem. A great product though I liked the white finish better than the silver metalic."

"Firms up the notorious sloppy steering on my 2001 Dodge 2500 diesel pickup. Removal of the stock stabilizer took a mechanic 30 minutes. The stock midline shaft is tapered and press fit into the steering rod."

"Unit was easy to install, some difficulty reaching the space to loosen and tighten the bolt nuts on pre-exsiting steering stabilizer- due to the tight space under the engine. I haven't had a chance to drive on the highway with it yet, but I was satisfied with the four suspension rancho shocks I installed two months ago."

"I use to get the death wobble ever time I hit a bump. I bought new tires and that went away but the stearing wheel still wobbled in my hand. After installing the Rancho stearing stabilizer, that all went away. I could tell the difference when I turned the stearing wheel. The only thing I was disappointed in was the color of the shock. I expected it to be white and it is "liquid metal" (silver). Only a cosmetic thing though, it is still a good buy."

"The hardest thing I encountered when I installed this stabilizer was removing the OEM stabilizer. The right side of the OEM stabilizer shock is held in place with a tapered pin that is permanently attached to the shock. Since there is no room on top of the stabilizer bar to whack this pin after removing the nut, I had to use a small crow bar to pop the pin loose. Once done, the Rancho shock went on without any drama.
The good thing about the Rancho setup is that I only have to remove two nuts if the shock has to be replaced and do not have to mess with the pin.
The difference in the ride is subtle. At first I was unable to tell the difference between it and the OEM shock. The difference became very apparent when I hit strong cross winds and bumpy roads. I no longer have the feeling that the front tires are wandering, especially when towing my 38' fifth wheel.
I would recommend this stabilizer for all Chevy trucks!"

"Had Rancho Stablizers before but this one is silver with the same red boot. Very nice shock, beefy construction and gives a good ride. Dampens road bumps and gives a very solid feel while steering. Already have 200 miles on it.
Would recommend over traditional steering stabilizers."

"The Rancho Steering Stabilizers made a world of difference in the steering of my 2005 Excursion. I have the 4WD with aggressive tires and the steering was overly sensitive on the highway. Pulling my 10,000 lb boat, motor and trailer was a real effort in control. Easy to install and looks great."

"What a great replacement for the totally inadequate OEM steering stabilizer that came with my 04 Wrangler. With 33 x 12.5 tires, the old stabilzer couldn't hold up, but these do a great job. Less than 20 minutes to install too, and that included getting the tools out to do it."

"The Ranco stabilizer was basically a shock with a couple of brackets. The instructions were poor at best. I could not install as shown in instructions due to front differental. When I ordered them I specified 4X4 but that didn't seem to matter. I had to install it in a mirror image position to make it work. If you are mechanically inclined you can figure it out. There were parts included in the kit that were neither mentioned in the instructions or applicaple to the installation. Those parts were discarded. The performance of the stabilizer was as expected. I thought that the price for what you got was a bit high but the vendor's pricing was in line with other vendors. I guess that's what they go for."

"I bought the single stabilizer. The installation was fairly simple. However I am currently running 315/70 R17’s and I don’t think the single is enough. I can still feel some vibration in the wheel and would recommend the double for 34-35+” tires. Even with the single it still handles night and day better than the stock stabilizer."

"If you have ever experienced "Death Wobble", have no bad steering parts ie; bad ball joints, tie rod ends, etc., then this is the fix for you ! I installed the dual shocks pictured above & it stopped the wobble Right Now. They're Very simple to install & took about 1/2 hour. The only noticeable difference in steering was as slightly slower return of the steering wheel when coming out of a sharp turn on takeoff, like at an intersection. But Anything beats what these so easily corrected."
